Whole-Home Deep Cleaning in Kirkland, WA for a Family with Kids

Kitchen and dining room

In a house with children, the dining room is often the busiest room, and here it was where the clutter had collected. That changes the order of work: surfaces have to be cleared before they can be cleaned properly. In the kitchen the appliances were part of the deep clean. The over-the-range microwave had a glossy black door covered in streaks and dried water spots, the kind of finish that shows every fingerprint. After cleaning, the door and the stainless trim were clear and reflective again.

Bathrooms

The bathrooms were where the before-and-after difference was clearest.

The toilet had an orange ring at the waterline, stains around the outlet, and hair and dust on the rim and around the seat hinges. On a deep clean the cleaner does not stop at the bowl: the hinges, the base of the seat and the outside of the toilet are part of the job.

The walk-in shower had a frameless glass door and panel clouded over with a white haze of dried water spots, heavy enough that the tile behind it looked gray.

Water-spot haze on glass is mineral residue, so it is worked with a descaling cleaner and a non-scratch pad, then rinsed and dried so new spots do not form right away. Afterward the glass was clear enough to see the tile pattern, the bench and the drain.
